Code-switching - the process of shifting from one linguistic code (a language or dialect) to another, depending on the social context or conversational setting. - Britannica

In work, business, or academia, often times POC code-switch as a way of assimilating, “fitting in” to the existing culture or to be viewed as more professional.

On this night, we worked discussed code-switching and being seen as presentable at work and how it may or may not effect your mentality. After our great discussion at Painted Duck, we did bowling, a horseshoes, and snookball (Snookball is a ball sport that is played on a billiard table, combining elements of snooker and soccer)
